Including ARCHISONIC® Felt
Do you have PET-based acoustic felt to dispose of, but it was not made by Impact Acoustic, or are you unsure who manufactured it? Re:Impact goes beyond our own materials.
If you need to dispose of ARCHISONIC® Felt or other PET-based acoustic felt, whether made from virgin or recycled PET, we can help. Through Re:Impact, we can accept PET felt materials from other manufacturers, provided the material is not glued or laminated and meets our return standards.
Step 1: Submit material details
Submit your contact details, material type and estimated return volume. Our team will follow up to gather information about the material you wish to return and estimate its volume.
Step 2: Quote and collection
Based on the information provided, we will calculate the logistics cost. The programme requires a minimum return quantity of one tonne of felt, and a minimum fee of EUR 2500 applies.
If the actual shipment weight is lower than the estimate used for the quote, we will issue a partial refund where applicable. Once you approve the quote, we handle the rest and arrange collection directly from your location.
Step 3: Advanced recycling
Most PET-based acoustic panels are still treated as non-recyclable at end of life. Re:Impact creates an advanced recycling route that turns old PET-based acoustic felt into new raw material.
- The end-of-life panels are sent to a local partner for pressing, if needed, before being transferred to our shredding partner.
- The shredded material is then sent to our recycling partner, where it undergoes depolymerisation: an advanced recycling process that breaks PET down into its original building blocks, purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and monoethylene glycol (MEG).
- These recycled monomers are then polymerised again to create virgin-grade PET raw material, ready to be made into new PET products.
From old to new, again and again. Welcome to the circular economy.
ARCHISONIC® Natura Cotton products are fully circular by design. They can be returned, inspected and processed into new ARCHISONIC® Natura products, keeping valuable material in circulation.
Step 1: Register a return
Use the link below to provide your contact details. We will get in touch to coordinate logistics and support you with the arrangements. The minimum return quantity for participation is 20 m².
Step 2: Prepare and ship the product
Products must be packed in cardboard boxes and secured on a Euro pallet. Please provide the weight, dimensions and collection address so we can arrange transport to our facility in Italy.
Step 3: Close the loop and get refunded
A minimum participation fee of EUR 500 applies for the first 20 m², with any additional surface area charged at EUR 25 per m². Upon arrival, we inspect the products to ensure they are free from foreign materials and non-recyclable glues. Once the returned material has passed inspection, EUR 20 per m² will be refunded. The returned material is then processed into new products, again and again.
Finished products such as our acoustic curtains are designed for a long life. We prioritise reuse and resale to maximise their value and keep materials in circulation for as long as possible.
How it works
The ARCHISONIC® Textile take-back programme applies to Noren Acoustic Curtains. A flat logistics fee of EUR 500 applies per returned curtain. Once the product has been received and inspected, the EUR 500 logistics fee is fully reimbursed if the curtain is in good condition and suitable for resale.
The pre-loved Noren is then returned to circulation and made available to a new client.
Repair or recycle
If the returned product is not suitable for resale, the logistics fee is used to cover the cost of repair or responsible recycling. Thank you for keeping these valuable materials in circulation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to the most common questions about the Re:Impact take-back programme, including eligible materials, return requirements, logistics, fees and what happens after your products are collected.
What materials do you accept?
We accept ARCHISONIC® Felt, ARCHISONIC® Natura Cotton and eligible ARCHISONIC® Textile products, including Noren Acoustic Curtains. As part of our Inclusive Circularity mission, we also accept PET-based acoustic felt from other manufacturers, as long as the material is not laminated PET and meets our return standards.
What are the costs and rewards for returning products?
ARCHISONIC® Felt / PET-based acoustic felt: A minimum fee of EUR 2500 applies for a one-tonne collection, which we arrange from your location.
ARCHISONIC® Natura Cotton: A minimum participation fee of EUR 500 applies for the first 20 m², with any additional surface area charged at EUR 25 per m². Once the material has been received and approved at our facility in Italy, EUR 20 per m² will be refunded.
ARCHISONIC® Textile / Noren Acoustic Curtains: A flat logistics fee of EUR 500 applies per returned curtain. This fee is fully reimbursed if the product is in good condition and suitable for resale.
Who covers the logistics and shipping costs?
ARCHISONIC® Felt / PET-based acoustic felt: Collection and logistics are organised by us and are included in the programme fee.
ARCHISONIC® Natura Cotton: Collection and logistics are organised by us and are included in the programme fee.
ARCHISONIC® Textile / Noren Acoustic Curtains: The return is covered by the EUR 500 flat logistics fee.
What happens to the returned materials?
ARCHISONIC® Felt / PET-based acoustic felt: The material is shredded and sent to our recycling partner, where it is chemically broken down into its original raw monomers, PTA and MEG, for use in new PET production.
ARCHISONIC® Natura Cotton: The material is returned to our facility in Italy, where it is processed into new ARCHISONIC® Natura products.
ARCHISONIC® Textile / Noren Acoustic Curtains: If the curtain is in good condition, it is resold to a new customer. If not, the logistics fee is used to repair or responsibly recycle it.
What does "designed to be returned" mean?
It means all our products are engineered with the intention that valuable materials can be collected, inspected and reintegrated instead of being discarded at end of life.
Why are take-back programmes important?
Take-back programmes create a practical pathway for recovering products after use, preserving material value and reducing the amount of interior fit-out waste that becomes demolition or renovation waste.
Can I return PET-based acoustic felt from another manufacturer?
Yes, through Re:Impact we can accept PET-based acoustic felt from other manufacturers if the material is not laminated PET and meets all return standards. Contact us first so we can review the material type, quantity and logistics requirements.
Can products with adhesive or glue be returned?
ARCHISONIC® Natura Cotton products must be free from foreign materials and non-recyclable glues. For ARCHISONIC® Felt / PET-based acoustic felt, laminated or glued PET is not accepted.
Why is laminated PET excluded?
Laminated PET combines layers that are difficult to separate cleanly. Re:Impact focuses on material streams that can be prepared for high-value recovery and recycling.
What information should I prepare before contacting Impact Acoustic?
Please prepare the material type, estimated quantity or surface area, weight if available, dimensions, photos where useful and the collection address. For ARCHISONIC® Natura Cotton, please also confirm that the products can be packed in cardboard boxes and secured on a Euro pallet.
What happens if returned material does not meet the inspection criteria?
Refunds and reimbursement depend on the returned material passing inspection. If material is contaminated, combined with non-recyclable components or unsuitable for resale, we will advise on the next responsible option where possible.
Can I return quantities below the minimum threshold?
For PET-based acoustic felt, the programme is designed for return quantities of one tonne or more. For ARCHISONIC® Natura Cotton, the minimum return quantity is 20 m². If you are unsure whether your material qualifies, submit your material details and we will review the options.
How does Re:Impact support circular construction?
Our Re:Impact take-back programme helps keep interior materials in circulation beyond their first use phase. By designing products for return, reuse and recovery, we support a shift from linear disposal towards circular material flows.
