Prototyping

Depending on the project stage, Prototyping can result in physical mock-ups, scale models, material studies, colour studies, pattern trials, fixing samples, edge details, fabrication tests, installation studies or pre-production prototypes.

We turn acoustic design ideas into physical prototypes that can be reviewed, refined and prepared for production.

Every prototype starts with a project question. Sometimes the question is visual: Will this geometry work at the intended scale? Sometimes it is technical: Can the element be produced, fixed, repeated or installed cleanly? Sometimes it is strategic: Is this the right direction before the design team commits to a larger solution?

Our team of educated architects and industrial designers can support concept prototypes, material samples, pattern studies, acoustic feature elements, ceiling and wall systems, room dividers, bespoke shapes, connection details, colour and finish studies, installation trials and presentation mock-ups.

The output depends on the stage of the project. Early prototypes may be fast and exploratory. Later prototypes can be more precise, technically resolved and closer to the final production logic.

Prototyping is most valuable when it connects design intent with real material behaviour. A physical mock-up can reveal whether a rhythm feels right, whether an edge detail is clean, whether a fixing principle is convincing and whether a bespoke acoustic element can be made and installed as intended.
