Within the renovated lounge, acoustic ceiling baffles made from ARCHISONIC® Felt help soften the soundscape from above. They add absorption where voices, movement, buffet activity and airport energy come together, without interrupting the openness of the space.

The Sunrise Lounge is located at the end of the pier, where passengers can look out across the tarmac and runway. It is designed as a place to relax before departure, especially for travellers flying with Brussels Airlines and Star Alliance partners.
The interior brings together several hospitality layers: seating areas, buffet, bar, nap boxes, showers and a central planted feature that gives the lounge a more distinctive character. The result is not simply a waiting room with better furniture. It is a place where passengers can change pace before they board.
That change of pace depends on acoustics as much as on layout or comfort. A lounge can be visually calm and still feel tiring if sound moves too freely through the room.

The ceiling offers one of the most effective places to bring acoustic absorption into a busy hospitality environment. It sits above the areas where people talk, eat, move and wait, while keeping the floor plan open and flexible.
At the Sunrise Lounge, ARCHISONIC® Felt ceiling baffles add a softer acoustic layer overhead. Their repeated rhythm supports the interior without taking attention away from the views, seating or planted elements. The acoustic treatment becomes part of the lounge architecture rather than a technical addition.
For passengers, the effect is deliberately quiet. The space still feels alive, but more balanced. Conversations, movement and service activity remain part of the lounge experience, while the ceiling helps reduce the hardness that can come with large public interiors.

ARCHISONIC® Felt is well suited to this kind of environment. Made from recycled PET, the material is lightweight, durable and precisely cuttable, allowing acoustic elements to be integrated into ceilings without adding unnecessary visual weight.
In the Sunrise Lounge, the baffles help define the atmosphere of a space that has to perform every day, for many different types of traveller. They support moments of focus, rest and conversation in a setting that remains connected to the movement of the airport outside.
The result is a quieter start before take-off: a lounge where acoustic comfort, hospitality and the rhythm of travel meet above the passenger experience.
